WEM worked with a family estate that wanted to sell 9 contiguous 10-acre lots that straddled the towns of Weston and Landgrove, Vermont. Soil testing involved inspecting soil conditions in over 50 test pits, followed by topographical surveying to develop a comprehensive site plan and plans for each individual lot. Wastewater and water system design and permitting ensued, resulting in 3 sites served by conventional in-ground septic systems, and 5 sites served by mound systems enhanced by curtain drains. Working closely with the sellers, buyer, and realtor, WEM was able to obtain all 9 permits issued by two separate Agency of Natural Resources regional offices in a 2-month timeframe allowing the closing for the property to proceed as planned.
